Spalding Designs, LLC is a design firm specializing in residential and light commercial building design across the metro Atlanta area.  We provide custom building plans for a wide array of projects such as: residential structures, small retail facilities, small group gathering facilities, and light industrial warehouse structures.  Spalding Designs prepares all drawings using state-of-the-art CAD/BIM design software, allowing our company to provide 3-D visualization of projects.  3-D visualization can truly make your vision a reality!

 

Spalding Designs also provides additional CAD design services for parts & components.  We can provide clients with 2-D design skematics and 3-D visualizations of any part big or small.

Professional Building Designer

Richard is an Architectural Designer with over 20 years of design experience.  He has studied both Architecture and Construction Science at Southern Polytechnic State University  in Marietta, Georgia.  He graduated from Perimeter College in 1999 with an Associates Degree in Drafting.

 

In 2007 he was accepted into the American Institute of Building Design as a Professional Building Designer.  As a Professional Building Designer he is qualified to provide professional services in residential design, both single and multi-family, and commercial structures as permitted by the architectural statutes of each state.


During the past 20 years Richard has worked for several construction firms as the lead designer.  He has worked on projects ranging from a 1,000 s.f. up to 80,000 s.f. with values of construction in excess of $8 million.  In 2007, he started Spalding Designs LLC, specializing in light commercial and residential design.

Scott  joined Spalding Designs, LLC as an owner/ member of the company in May of 2010.  Prior to becoming a owner/ member, Scott had assisted the company with a wide array of projects since 2007.  Scott serves as the principle architect for the company.  As principle architect, he is responsible for overseeing the development of architectural projects.  

 

Scott graduated from Georgia Tech in 1980 with a bachelors in architecture.

After earning his college degree, Scott joined the firm of Robertson/Loia, Architects and Engineers, of Atlanta, working as lead designer and Project Architect, specializing in commercial projects.  He became a registered architect in Georgia in 1984

 

With thirty plus years of practice in architecture, Scott has developed expertise in the design of retail, office, food service, educational, and healthcare facilities.  He has specialized in master planning and design of mixed-use projects, with an emphasis on creating built environments with “a sense of place”.
